Write up of lip sync exercise Afraid i was Ill for when the class did this exercise However instead i interviewed one of my class mates (Oriana) and she spoke through the exercise as to , what they did in the studio , what they learnt , what steps did they do to cut the video ,what did they learn about editing music video, had they made any mistakes on the day, how could they shoot or cut more effectively , how has this helped them progress . Here i have done a write up of my interview with( Oriana) They filmed on three different sets , they had one that had the dolly on it and it did the tracking shots, so there was a track on the floor and there was a rig on the floor and someone would look through it. and there were some big white panels which had the neon lights. So they would do tracking shots, from were the performer would walk in. Or some of the time they did had a few people and then they panned through/ tracked past their faces and they would focus on little things such ...

Here i have fully designed my album cover by taking a photo shoot of two people looking out into the view which was what imagined.Here in the album i made the sunset and use of imagery important to replicate what type of genre this is. i made the title of the album in white bold capitals to draw the viewers focus to the name rather than the artist looks and faces. On the first side of the cover the artist are both looking at the camera to suggest they are both equally as important in the band. And again in the back cover they both have their backs to the camera which means the focus is more on the songs they have produced rather than their'star' appearance.i went for a Indie/retro style to connote the style of music they have produced and also it beholds a correlation with the lyrics in the words with the sunset and natural earthy theme.i made the artist not wear makeup to convey that natural theme i'm trying to portray.i used baby blues and soft reds and greens as colour...

sketching out my album  i choose a Indie alternative genre. The album is called Dawn over Dusk by Lost.The artists are called Emma & Harriet.here i have presented a outline sketch of the theme of cover i may go for. i imagined the cover to be somewere high with a view with a person standing their looking out.

Comparing my Shakira website with the original shakira website

Explaining my Choices : i choose Shakira because she is a successful artist who beholds the perfect 'star image' for example her body, her sex appeal, talent, and great performer. I choose this picture because i wanted to create a atmosphere of a beach theme which can help determine the type of music genre she produces. i choose to write her name in bold white text because i wanted to have natural colours which are resembling her. However i added animation so her name moves into place when the audience view her website to help add more interest. the bright natural earthy colours create a refreshing atmosphere. i made my homepage very simple so it is easy to navigate and also so hat the attention is on her and her album list so therefore the audiences focus can be on them. i added all the social networks you can find her on at the top so that thee audience can immediately see were she is available, without having to find it.

two different genres of homepages : this website is targeting viewers who have a love for pop music and possibly fashion and superficial icons. consumers will be attracted to it because Cheryl is adhering towards the 'star image' and that will make consumers want to be like her. Through the use of her face being displayed on the website brings attention to her beauty and looks also then the white bold text of her name sells her as a brand. the colours of the website are bright and vibrant which gives off a positive vibe. the website follows the convention of pop. There is artificial lighting used top give the artist a glow of perfection such as clear skin and tanning.this helps create a vibrant atmosphere. they have used technical conventions such as close up of Cheryl's face to help build recognition of the artist. the white colour in the background is symbolic to the website trying to display the attention on her only. overall ideology of the website is to zon...

Madonna- ‘Like a prayer’  A music video is a way of promoting  a song using imagery in a short film, it also can highlight Richard Dyers theory of the ‘star image’ which is presented in Madonna’s  music video. The video was used as a way of her portraying her rebellion which attracted an audience. Firstly The music video ‘like a prayer’  is about a girl on the street who witness an assault. And she is afraid to get involved since she may get hurt herself. However a black man on the street also witness this incident and he tries to help. But then the police arrive and arrest him while the other actual assaulter s flee off before the police can see them. The girl runs into the church. She sees a saint in a cage that looks very much like the black man. She lies down on a few and falls into a dream then she meets this black African American women who seems to represent emotional strength and guidance  and tosses  her back up and tells her to do the right t...
