Ella (who is in my production group) edited the music video. Here are some clips of the process she went through.

In our production group we split the roles into three , meaning i was in charge of the website and the social links and Tori and Ilana were charge of the album and Ella was in charge of the editing the Music video. preparation of focus group  For our focus group meeting we have prepared a set of questions each for the digi pack , website and music video. As asking efficient questions helps us to understand our target audiences needs and helps us to improve our final product. Questions for our focus group  ALBUM: What genre do you think this album represents? How do you feel about the use of colours? Who do you think the lead singer is? What font do you think would compliment our genre? Which do you think is the album/band name? Does this look like a product you would buy? Does the album link in with the website? WEBSITE: How do you find these colours as a title? Could you suggest any colours that would go with the website? How do you feel about the skull as the background? Conducting a focus group  The point of a focus group is to develop and improve upon your product. It allows you to have direct line to your targeted audience  and understand their specific needs and what they want / look for with your product. it is a great way to gain constructive feedback before the consumer buys the product.It is also a fresh outside view which will help the producer of the product construct it in the best way it needs to be. when having a focus group it is best to have a small audience that you are targeting too, and have a friendly interaction with them , and make sure to involve everyone. Make sure to have the product (close to finish product) and make sure to document the feedback so it is accurate. It is best to test your product at this point because it is still durable to make small changes that are able to be made. No waisted money as still designing. Constructing the Facebook page my aim to attach a facebook page to the website to show how the band is available on many social platforms to appeal towards our target audience. Here i have made a prezi showing the making of the facebook page.

Website draft idea  Here is a screenshot draft of an idea that i made on "wix" of how we might style our website- https://nandiclarkecouliba.wixsite.com/mysite-3 - on the actual website the background of the skulls is flicking in different colours in a distorted manor.   Here i have taken screenshots of the process of the making of my own website draft , using the website Wix  First i decided on what background i liked and i chose a plane blank skull and made a giphy out of it by adding a distorted glitch effect so the skull almost moves in a fragmented way. As further research i looked at an example website to gain a clear understanding of what need to the website for our band Here i will be looking at Nirvana as an example  Here Nirvana's website actually has a music video of one of his new releases the background cover of the website. This transfers the message that he is trying to put across to his audience that he wants to be appreciated for his music rather than superficial looks , since in the video once is only features briefly once and the rest is the band playing the music. This a a great way to market their product instantly since the targeted audience is forced to look at their new release on the website since it is more a less in your face which is an eye gripping niche idea because it comes across as more striking. Why Bands ? Artists use websites  It's very valuable for a band/artists to have a website for a wide range of reasons: To share information and content To keep fans and target audiences up to date To share and inform people about the band/artist To promote and sell albums Free distribution To advertise and sell live shows Good advertisement Helps construct an image To advertise and sell merchandise Can update the latest information Free and cheap To get a larger audience Easy for the audience to access Can direct the target audience to the social media To help interact with the audience

Our decided band and album name   Band name - Kings Of The Knight  We had decided on kings of the night because we wanted to find a name that resembles (crown) as a relation to the crown that we will use for the album cover and their music video. We liked kings of the knight because he feel it holds a double meaning, Such as it resembles "night" and "knight" as in knight and charming armur. This creates the star image even further since it allows them to be seen a positive "hero" light to our targeted audience.  Album name - Meridian  we chose this name because we found that this name sounds distinctive and attention grabbing which will make their album noticeable. It also has a correlation with the band name , since Meridian menas peak or( ontop ) witch mimicks the meaning of "crown"

The Decided Album Cover design This design was done by one of my production group member called (Tori). This design is quite similar to mine with the band's faces at the front however we all loved this design because it has a correlation with the music video with the (skull) theme so we thought that the skulls would work nicely. We plan to draw this out professionally on the computer to it looks like a sketch. We also thought that this style of design fitted the bands image and their star image of the genre convention we are following.The band is identified with their own colours in the pictures which resembles their own individual character . Also brings importance to the whole band not just the lead singer.The crowns that are going down the spine of the album artwork is adhering towards a symbolic convention because in the music video he draws a crown to the camera. 

Feedback  In my production group we gave each other feedback on our album sketch , When my production group gave me feedback we realised that our draft digipacks had a lot in common- for example we all put the band at the front and only put the portrait of their faces and essembled there faces in an unusual way, we also had a very similar colour theme for example two of us went for a black and white theme . when i was going through my draft with my production group they had clearly said that i have resembled the "star image" design that i hoped to get across to my audience  - here are some of the feedback notes they gave me.  Maybe change the picture of the models since they are not the main focus  have only one picture as a max with the models since they are only in the music video and we are trying to market the band not the models  not sure about the ivy plant as the spine - doesn't have as much of a correlation with our band theme...

Here is a video i made that reflects the setting and making process of the day befog the shoot day of what we were doing . As a production group we stayed later in the studio to set up the set for our shoot day.

Music Promo - evaluation   of shoot day                                                                                     Me behind the scenes of the shoot day!   To help us be completely equipped for the actual day of the shoot , me and my production group stayed later on Friday in the studio setting up our first set which is the (band). When we were setting up our agreed layout of what we planned it to look like for the band , we were deciding on the choice of the brick wall. Since the brick wall was not a real brick wall it was made out of latex , there were two colours on either side.
