evaluation task 2

Evaluation task 2 media  Latency conveys two social groups. I will be depicting regional identity as our primary social group which explores protagonists and antagonists between England and Russia. Secondly I will be looking at Gender as our secondary social group which is exhibiting the lack of women characterizing just in men. Firstly the editing methods used in Latency lead to an antagonist opinion of Russia. This is shown at the beginning of the opening through shot revers shot used in the first minute of latency. Which shows that the protagonists  (English) are fighting a foreign team. The shot revere shot is also there to show interactions between both teams to show the communication. However here it is showing the contrast between good and evil. There is also use of shot duration on the  English which allows the viewer to see the war from there perspective making them the good team. It also adds value to the English team making them more important that Russi...

post production (editing)

Image
Post production Film editing is a part of creative post production process of film making. We have used editing to make our thriller come together. The key decisions that I made in the editing process was to not start the editing from the beginning to the end (as the film would) it was to start the editing instead at points and sections of the thriller then gather the edited footage together and join them together from start to end. Through this technique Andrew and Daisy were given a section to edit and me and Chris were given a section then we would gather our different footage together into one whole one. There were expectations set up before we started editing which were that we were told to save each time were we’re editing so that we would not lose our footage. We were also taught the terminologies to help understand how to edit. Our intended outcome of this process is to have an opening scene of a thriller but to also show the process and stages we did through editing on our ...

shoot day reflection

Image
Shoot day refection : The day before the shoot me and Daisy went to Elizabeth to decide on the final decision of the   costumes   to make sure our costumes were ready for the actors on the day of the shoot, David and Callum since they were the main actors .Me and Daisy also provided Callum and David with a pair of boots since they did not have any , luckily the majority of our actresses had a pair which was good because they contributed to the theme of army wear and camouflage which was what we were looking for. The night before the shoot I sent an email to all the actors that were participating in our thriller shoot saying for them to bring warm clothing and to bring a towel since Delta Paintball was covered in mud and very cold I also asked that they bring spare clothing. A week before the shoot I prepared a shooting schedule so that on the day we would know which order to do certain shots in .At the beginning of the day at 8.50 we were all ready and equipped, and a...

Emailing schools

Emailing schools   Andrew contacted various schools with the CCF programme to see if we could borrow their uniforms. However, from the 9 schools we contacted, we got a similar reply from each telling us that they weren't allowed to let us use them because they were the queens property.
